Sydney Sweeney takes on the role in a new look as she prepares for the role of the boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming biopic.

“Well the cats are out of the bag thanks to some crumbs in the bushes so here are some BTS from my movie I'm working on,” Sweeney, 27, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, October 16 with some first look photos of her on set. “Over the past few months, I have been training intensively to bring to life the story of an incredible woman – a true champion who fought battles both in and out of the ring.”

In the pictures, Sweeney showed off how she swapped her iconic blonde locks for a curly brunette hairstyle with bangs. The actress wore gray sweatpants, a red cut-off T-shirt and white sneakers.

Sweeney also proved that her training was worth it. In one fell swoop, she flexed her super-toned arm muscles and smiled brightly as she celebrated her new slim body.

Sydney Sweeney is no stranger to the red carpet. The actress has racked up too many acting roles to count over the years (50+!) – so it's safe to say she knows how to rock the step-and-repeat. While Euphoria – and its epic character Cassie Howard – may come to mind when you think of the Washingtonians (…).

“Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength and hope, and I am honored to follow in her footsteps and share her powerful story with all of you,” the actress continued. “More coming soon :).”

The project was first announced in May and Sweeney raved about how excited she was to get started.

But I love challenging myself.”

Although the film doesn't have a title yet, it will be directed by the director David Michod. The cast also includes Sweeney Ben Foster, Merritt Wever, Ethan Embry And Katy O'Brian.
