Taylor Swift appears to skip Travis Kelce's final Chiefs game amid annoying “distraction” accusations

Gotham

After attending the first two Chiefs games of the season, Taylor Swift appeared to skip Travis Kelce's second straight away game.

While Swift didn't watch the Chiefs beat the Atlanta Falcons on September 22nd, many fans hoped she would be there for their next matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on September 29th. However, so far, Swift has not been spotted by the Chiefs crowd at SoFi Stadium in LA.

“Going to the game in Atlanta wasn't possible because she had scheduled time with some friends, like Gigi Hadid, who she hung out with over the weekend, and other friends she hadn't seen in a while,” an unnamed source said had previously told the US Sun about the pop star's absence in Atlanta. “She wanted to hang out with them before returning to tour soon. But she plans to return to the next game to support Travis.”

Despite the Chiefs' early winning streak, Travis Kelce has been criticized for his personal influence on the field, with the tight end admitting that he “played like garbage” in a recent game. Of course, many NFL fans have started blaming Taylor Swift for “distracting” the 34-year-old football player, just like they did last season. I think I've seen this movie before…and it ended with a Super Bowl victory.

You know who doesn't think Kelce is distracted? Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid. “I know people say he's old or distracted, but the defense doesn't believe that,” Reid said during a Sept. 25 press conference Fox News. “Trav is fine. He just stays Trav. He works hard. He hasn't lost a step. He’s not distracted.”

Obviously, there are many reasons why Taylor Swift missed this game that have nothing to do with this discourse. Given that the Eras Tour is back in action on October 18 in Miami, it will likely focus on rehearsals and avoiding unnecessary flights. With that in mind, the Chiefs' next game will be at Arrowhead Stadium on October 7th.

Hopefully Taylor Swift will be there to distract Me from the unsolicited opinions of “Dads, Brads and Chads.”
