Tennessee Titans RB leaves game with injury

The Tennessee Titans are having a hard-fought battle against their AFC South rivals the Indianapolis Colts so far today. They were able to take a 17:10 lead in the third quarter.

With the game looking like it was going to be close throughout, the Titans suffered a concerning injury.

As shared by Turran Davenport from ESPNIt's questionable whether running back Tyjae Spears will return to the game. He is reportedly suffering from a hamstring injury.

Spears is an important part of the Tennessee offense. He hasn't been used as much as expected this season, but he's still an important offensive presence behind Tony Pollard at the running back position.

Prior to today's game, Spears had carried the football 27 times for 87 yards and a touchdown in four games. He also contributed with 12 receptions for 76 yards.

In today's game before the injury, Spears had accumulated 27 yards on six carries.

This is something you should keep an eye on. Without Spears on the field, Julius Chestnut remains the backup running back. The 23-year-old defenseman has been with the Titans for his entire three-year career.

Only time will tell what this injury means for Spears. This is a developing situation and we will ensure updates are posted as they become available.

Hopefully it's nothing serious and he can return either in this game against the Colts or next week. If he is forced to miss time, Tennessee could consider exploring other running back options to add depth behind Pollard.

At this point, there is a lot to be excited about for the Titans. They have played well against Indianapolis so far. If they are able to continue their strong play and pick up a win, they would be right back in the AFC playoff race.
