The Colts' division opponent reportedly traded away one of their best WRs

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Indianapolis Colts' division rival, the Tennessee Titans, are set to trade wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The move comes as the Titans are currently 1-5 on the season, while the Chiefs are 6-0 but need help at the wide receiver position.

The 2024 season was Hopkins' second with the Titans. Last year, he was targeted 133 times and caught 75 of those passes for 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns.

This season, Hopkins has caught 15 of 21 for 175 yards. Against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, Hopkins caught four passes for 54 yards.

The next time the Colts face the Titans will be in Week 16 in Indianapolis. At receiver, Tennessee still has Calvin Ridley, who signed a four-year, $92 million contract as a free agent this offseason.

At this time, neither the Titans nor the Chiefs have announced that the trade is official. There have also been no reports of what Tennessee might receive in return in the form of draft compensation from Kansas City.

Hopkins is a former first-round pick of the Houston Texans in the 2013 NFL Draft. Over his career, he has totaled nearly 13,000 receiving yards and scored 80 touchdowns, playing for Houston, Arizona and Tennessee.
