The first company to use updated Apple Wallet Tickets is… Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster announced that it will be the first ticketing company to take advantage of the new features introduced to Apple Wallet with iOS 18. According to a blog post from the company, Ticketmaster tickets viewed in the Apple app can display advanced information such as venue maps, parking directions, local weather forecasts and Apple Music listening recommendations. Teams and event spaces can also add links to their own apps or websites that customers can access through their wallet tickets.

The company is applying the new technology to two sporting events for the first time this year and said it will expand the features to additional events in 2025. While Ticketmaster touts its role as an early adopter of the new Wallet ticket experience, the new features unveiled will not be unique to this company. Considering Ticketmaster showed off the new features in the PR images, it seems likely that the companies had an agreement on how they would promote the updates together.

Apple Wallet offers several upgrades in the latest operating system version, such as a new feature for faster money transfers. The initial launch of iOS 18 last month had some good things to offer, but Apple Intelligence's big debut is likely yet to happen.
