The first screening of “Terrifier 3” leads to mass walkouts in the first 10 minutes – World of Reel

I can count on one hand the number of times I've been completely repulsed by a horror movie and been tempted to walk out in disgust. “The Human Centipede 2”, “A Serbian Film” and “Hostel Part II” come to mind.

In the last “Terrifier” film, there were reports of humans fainted, puke And Cry in bathrooms. It's a film series that prides itself on alienating its audience, and it looks like the latest chapter in this crazy horror franchise, set to hit theaters this month, has done it again.

LADBible reports that the first official screening of “Terrifier 3” is in the UK has resulted in people walking out alone in the opening scene, with “so far one person has been confirmed to have puked.”

“Terrifier” typically revolves around Art, a killer clown who is resurrected by a supernatural force and terrorizes the residents of Miles County. Screening reports have become part of the film's marketing campaign – so it's no surprise that the producers of 'Terrifier 3' have proudly confirmed reports of this latest UK screening.

Director Damien Leone recently suggested that the film's opening scene was so bloody and gruesome that Hollywood refused to finance it, and that he had to go the independent route again with this third chapter:

I met studios, like real Hollywood studios, that wanted to make “Terrifier 3.” I knew they wouldn't let me do this film based on the first five pages (…) Mark my words, I guarantee you that the first five minutes of this film will be very controversial. But that's not even the big killing scene. That's why I thought I just have to do this film alone because it's too crazy.

“Terrifier 3” has been screened at numerous genre festivals and is currently on 93% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. The cinema release is scheduled for October 11th.
