The reunion between Derrick Henry and Marcus Mariota will keep Titans fans on the edge of their seats

Years after last playing together with the Tennessee Titans in 2019, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry and Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota recently reunited.

The Ravens and Commanders faced off Sunday in a Week 6 game at M&T Bank Stadium, where Baltimore emerged victorious over Washington 30-23. After the contest was over, Mariota and Henry met on the field and hugged.

The reunion between the former teammates was as enjoyable as it could be, and Henry was obviously very excited to see Mariota again. And it touched us deeply when we remembered how exciting it was with the Titans.

Henry: “Marcus, what’s going on?! What's up, boy?! What's up?”

Mariota: “You’re still doing your thing.”

Henry: “Marcus, my dog! Oh, Marcus, what’s wrong?”

Mariota: “My man! Are you all right?”

Henry: “Hey, congratulations on your (new baby).”

Mariota: “Ah, thank you. My little man. Little man.”

Henry: “Let’s go!”

Mariota was the Titans' No. 2 overall pick in 2015 and now backs up rookie sensation Jayden Daniels. It once looked like he would become a star for the franchise, but injuries derailed his career.

The Titans also did Mariota no favors with a lackluster supporting cast and multiple offensive coordinators, dooming him.

However, Henry came to completely different conclusions. He became a superstar in Tennessee and is rightly considered one of the greatest players in franchise history. Unfortunately, Henry moved to the Ravens in 2024.

Henry recently passed the 10,000 career yard mark to cement his place in the Hall of Fame and is on pace to reach 2,000 yards in a season for the second time in his career shows that at the age of 30 he still has a lot left.
