The Steelers' Justin Fields cuts the Colts' lead with a rushing touchdown

Justin Fields brought the Pittsburgh Steelers within one point of the Indianapolis Colts late in the third quarter with a 5-yard keeper.

The Steelers took advantage of a missed field goal by the Colts and managed their first touchdown drive of the afternoon. They were helped in large part by Fields' 38-yard completion to George Pickens. Fields then hit Najee Harris for an 11-yard gain on the next play, taking the Steelers to the 6-yard line before scoring on third-and-goal.

While the Steelers' offense was largely stagnant for most of the afternoon, it moved the ball quite efficiently on this drive. Fields also recovered from a 20-yard loss and fumbled on the previous drive to score his second rushing touchdown as a Steeler.

The Colts reached the end zone on their next drive and took a 24-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. Fields responded with another rushing score and lowered his head to intercept contact on a 2-yard touchdown.

According to ESPN Research, Fields is the second Steelers quarterback in the last 20 years to score multiple rushing touchdowns in a game, joining Kenny Pickett in 2022.
