The top rock band reunites with its original lead singer after a decade

Canadian rock band Three Days Grace recently announced the return of their original lead singer Adam Gontier.

Gontier left the band back in 2013. He will share the lead vocal role with Matt Walst, who has led the band for the past decade.

On Wednesday, the band posted on their Instagram page a phone message from Gontier to Walst to their social accounts in which Adam said: “Hey Matt, it’s Adam. I'm only a few minutes behind, but I'll be in the studio soon. If you could just let everyone know.”

“After performing together in Nashville this time last year and spending time in the studio since then, we are pleased to announce the official return of Adam Gontier as vocalist for Three Days Grace, with Matt Walst continuing as lead vocalist. ” the band said in a statement, according to Audacity.

Other band members include Neil Sanderson on drums, Brad Walst on bass and lead guitarist Barry Stock.

“I feel like it went smoothly, better than we expected. It's like we were back in the same room together and picked up where we left off. “We've been friends for so long that it's natural to get back in the room together,” Gontier said, according to Blabbermouth.

The band has had 17 number one songs on Billboard's mainstream rock charts. The group is known for songs such as “I Hate Everything About You,” “So Called Life,” “Just Like You,” and “Animal I Have Become.”
