The windy, cool and dry weather continues

Today will be a pleasant day on the ArkLaMiss. Last night, a secondary cold front moved through the area, bringing with it a wave of cooler air. As this front moved through, winds increased across the region with peak gusts of around 30 to 45 mph. Winds will continue, with gusts from the northeast gusting to about 25 miles per hour. This, combined with the dry weather we have experienced, has resulted in an increased fire risk across the region. Dry weather will continue throughout next week with temperatures gradually rising back into the upper 80s.

Tonight: Clear skies expected. Low temperatures will be in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Thursday: Sunny skies expected. High temperatures will be in the low 70s.

Friday: Sunny skies are expected. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s.

Saturday: Sunny skies expected. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s.

Sunday: Sunny skies expected. High temperatures will be in the low 80s.

Monday: Sunny skies are expected. High temperatures will be in the low 80s.

Tuesday: Sunny skies expected. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s.
