There's one thing Scarlett Johansson still wishes she had done with Black Widow

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a well-functioning machine, constantly pumping out new content to theaters and streaming with a Disney+ subscription. A lot has changed since then Avengers: Endgamewhich killed characters like Black widow. And Scarlett Johansson revealed what she would have liked to have done as Natasha Romanoff.

Fans who have watched the Marvel films for years have been waiting for ScarJo to finally get a solo film, and Black widow helped say goodbye to the character and provided context to her backstory. But that doesn't mean she doesn't regret it. Speaking to MTV UK, she revealed what she would have changed for her appearance in the MCU. In her words:

I probably would have gone further back in the Black Widow story and seen – I would have liked to see Hawkeye/Black Widow (dynamic) like some of this stuff.

There you have it. While Hawkeye and Black Widow are seen as very close friends in the first part avenger In the end, they only had a limited running time. These blockbusters featured a lot of characters, and it sounds like Johansson would have liked more scenes with Jeremy Renner. Maybe that could happen in an upcoming Marvel film? Fingers crossed.

As the Time Heist is being developed, Black Widow travels to Tokyo to reach Hawkeye, who has become the murderous Ronin after losing his family to The Snap. She brings him back into the fold and they travel together to Vormir to retrieve the Soul Stone. Her final scene is heartbreaking and about who might sacrifice themselves. And ultimately, Natasha won that battle and died for the greater good.

This relationship between the two feckless Avengers, as well as Clint's grief, needed to be expanded upon a bit during Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye show. But Johansson wishes this relationship had more screen time while she was still in the MCU.

While Black Widow is dead, 39-year-old actress Scarlett Johansson serves as an executive producer lightning*so she still has ties to the MCU. Additionally, there are rumors that the OG Avengers could be coming back for a development project within the shared universe. But whether this chatter will actually bear fruit is currently a mystery. Still, fans would love to see Black Widow and Hawkeye on screen together again, even if just for a flashback. After all, Jeremy Renner's hero is still very much alive.
