“Thursday Night Football” picks and predictions.

The Seahawks defense is a mess.

Since holding the Tua Tagovailoa-less Dolphins to three points in Week 3, Seattle has been torched by the Lions and Giants, allowing a total of 809 yards in those games.

The Seahawks' run defense in particular was terrible.

In Week 3, Detroit's split backfield of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery combined for 118 rushing yards.

Last week, with running back Devin Singletary sidelined, the Seahawks gave the Giants free rein, allowing rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. to rush for 129 yards on 18 carries in his first career start.

Their run defense wasn't exactly strong before this recent rough patch – the Seahawks allowed the Patriots offense 185 rushing yards in Week 2, one of the worst in football.

Things don't get any easier on Thursday evening.

With a banged up defense in a short week, the Seahawks will have their hands full with the offense of Kyle Shanahan, who has run for the seventh-most yards per game (144) this season.

Third-year ball carrier Jordan Mason has played like a star for the 49ers, replacing reigning Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey, who is still dealing with Achilles tendonitis.

Mason is averaging 107.2 yards per game this season, which is the third-most in the NFL.

Even against this weak defensive front, the oddsmakers at BetMGM Sportsbook don't expect Mason to come anywhere close to that number, pegging his rushing yards over/under at 82.5 (-125).

Mason has surpassed that number in four of five games this year, coming up short in a loss to the Rams in which San Francisco relied on the pass late to mount a comeback.

Bet Mason's Cinderella run continues in the Pacific Northwest.

The piece: Jordan Mason over 82.5 rushing yards (-125, BetMGM Sportsbook)
