Thursday Night Football Seahawks vs. 49ers Prediction, Odds, Kenneth Walker III Prop Bet for Week 6

After both suffered disappointing losses last week, fierce NFC rivals will face rebounding performances on Thursday Night Football. The 3-2 Seattle Seahawks host the 2-3 San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Seattle certainly won the Russell Wilson trade, but has lost all five meetings with San Francisco (including the playoffs) since the groundbreaking deal was completed in the 2022 offseason. Wilson was 17-4 against the Niners in his Seahawks years from 2012 to 2021.

The oddsmakers expect the Seahawks to be the underdogs with a lead of 3.5 points before kickoff. The over/under for the game is 47.

  • Over 49 (-112 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
  • Kenneth Walker III had 60.5 rushing yards (-145 odds at BetMGM Sportsbook)

In Week 5, the Seahawks were upended at home by a Giants team that was missing two key starters on offense: wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Devin Singletary.

Geno Smith was sacked seven times, Walker managed just 19 yards on a career-low five carries, and New York earned a blocked 60-yard field goal with 55 seconds left in the 29-20 victory for a touchdown.

Seattle head coach Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb openly admitted that the running game behind Walker needs to be restored. Don't hesitate to take the 23-year-old RB's rushing yards prop.

San Francisco's four-game winning streak against the Arizona Cardinals ended with a 24-23 loss. Brock Purdy threw an interception late in the fourth quarter that sealed the Arizona victory

The Niners had the best odds to win the NFC in the preseason at +300 at DraftKings Sportsbook. They still have the best odds at +350 and will be looking to avoid a 2-4 start for the first time in three years.

Seahawks vs. 49ers Moneyline Odds Analysis

Why the Seahawks could win as underdogs

Best odds: +155 at BetMGM Sportsbook

Smith leads the NFL in passing yards (1,466) and attempts (191). However, to provide optimal balance on offense, Walker will need to be much more involved than he was against the Giants. He rushed for 183 yards and four touchdowns in his last two games.

Walker recorded a TD in four of his last five home games. Smith has passed for over 280 yards in his last four games. DK Metcalf is in the spotlight on Thursday, with seven career TDs in six Thursday games.

San Francisco's defense hasn't been quite as dominant as it has been in recent seasons. The 49ers rank 10th in total defense and ninth against the run. The Seahawks now have the second-best pass defense in the NFC.

Seattle ranks fifth in the NFL with 16 sacks. The Seahawks will wear their throwback 1990s jerseys on Thursday night. They won two out of three games wearing their classic look.
