Trump: 'I'll do anything' while working behind the McDonald's counter this weekend

Former President Trump is making an unusual campaign stop in battleground Pennsylvania this weekend.

The Republican presidential candidate will sit behind the counter and work the fryer at a Philadelphia-area McDonald's restaurant.

“A friend of mine owns a McDonald's somewhere,” Trump said in a wide-ranging interview on “Fox and Friends” on Friday when asked about his weekend plans for manning the fast-food restaurant's frying station.

“Oh, I'm leaving. I will do anything.”

Two and a half weeks before Election Day, Trump continues to have an exciting presidential race with Vice President Kamala Harris.

And Trump continues to claim that Harris never worked at McDonald's.

As Harris campaigns to succeed President Biden in the White House, she has highlighted her middle-class upbringing and her time working at McDonald's during her undergraduate studies in the 1980s, drawing a contrast with Trump's affluent upbringing.

“I did” (worked at McDonald’s), Harris said in an MSNBC interview last month.

“One of the reasons I even talk about working at McDonald's is because there are people in our country who work at McDonald's and are trying to raise a family,” she added. “I worked there as a student.

“I think part of the difference between me and my opponent is our view of the needs of the American people and what our responsibility is to meet those needs.”

But Trump claims she's not telling the truth.

“I’m leaving because she lied,” Trump said in his “Fox and Friends” interview.

“Don't you think she ever worked at McDonald's?” asked co-host Brian Kilmeade.

“I know she didn’t. We checked it,” Trump said. “They said she never worked here.”
