UAB Blazers vs. Army Black Knights Prediction, Odds and Tips

UAB Blazers vs. Army Black Knights Prediction, Odds and Tips

We can start our Saturday lunch list with an AUB Blazers vs Army Black Knights prediction as the Blazers travel to West Point this weekend. These are two teams moving in completely opposite directions as we approach the halfway point of the season. The Blazers, under second-year head coach Trent Dilfer, are 0-2 in the conference and have lost 4 straight games, including a crushing loss to Tulane 71-20 last week. They missed their starting quarterback and could miss him again this week, but that was the least of their worries. They were just terrible all around, giving up a kick return and a defensive touchdown. The Black Knights, on the other hand, have gained national attention as they are now 5-0 and look like a pretty formidable team. I have little doubt that Army will pull out a win here, but I think the best play in this game is the minors.

Army runs a deadly version of the triple option and has scored a touchdown on its first drive in every game this season. You just can't train against this stuff. However, I am confident about how this game will turn out. Tulane might score a point here or there, but if the Black Knights are ahead in the second half, the clock will disappear as Army closes out entire quarters with long drives. While Army has dropped a lot of points lately and could very well do it again on Saturday, I think my most confident play is betting on Army to run out the clock in the second half. If Army can play from the front, I just don't think we'll have enough time to get past our score. My choice between UAB and Army is under 55.
