Vampire Survivors DLC “Ode to Castlevania” announced

Poncle announced in collaboration with Konami Vampire survivors downloadable content “Ode to Castlevania.” The launch for all platforms will be on October 31st.

Here is an overview of the downloadable content via the Steam page:

Um

The Vampire Survivors have come a long way in their honorable hunt, and after teaming up with the Belmont family, they are closer than ever. Finally within her reach… A vampire. At least possibly.

The sun has once again set over Dracula's castle and as the moon rises, a hellish horde of sinister mudmen, spooky ghosts and terrifying flame people take the stage as the battle between good and evil rages once again. Unleash an arsenal of new weapons of vampire destruction upon these beasts and leave a trail of destruction in your wake before attempting to rid the world itself of the unspeakable terror. Don't be blind to the shadow that looms over you, the survivors, because your search has only just begun! It's all very serious business, so let's turn up the volume now and let's go, that is Castlevania In Vampire survivorsBaby!

Over 20 new characters

What a terrible night to have a curse, especially when you:

  • The Belmonts – Your favorite family of whip-obsessed vampire hunters, including Simon, Richter, Trevor and even Sonia.
  • The Belnades – A variety of legendary witches from throughout the history of the occult clan. Sypha, Yoko, and even distant relatives like Charlotte Aulin and Maria Renard have their grimoires ready.
  • Other heroes – Not just Jonathan and Charlotte, but Jonathan Morris AND John Morris?! There are many amazing allies, from Shanoa to Eric Lecarde.

Over 40 new weapons

The fight against the forces of evil is difficult as hell:

  • Whips – Lots of whips. More whips than we can count (there are eight).
  • Magic – Elemental magic has finally arrived in Vampire Survivors, offering a wide range of spells inspired by it Portrait of the ruin, Harmony of dissonanceAnd Order of the Ecclesia.
  • Magic weapons – not a sword, but Alucard's sword. And Alucard's spear. Also Alucard's shield. Etc.
  • Projectiles – Do you remember the time when the Morris threw spears and iron balls?
  • Glyphs – Confodere, Vol Confodere, Melio Confodere, but also lots of non-Confodere, we swear.

Special weapon selection

Some of these characters are known for having a variety of different abilities, so we probably all had a different experience playing them in their original games. It would be stupid of us to force you to use these characters with a fixed weapon, so… well, we're actually going to force a weapon on you, but not for long!

You can unlock at least one weapon selector for each individual character. For example, the Morning Star allows you to choose any whip as the starting weapon for your friendly neighborhood – Belmont.

An incredibly large stage

Enchanting mysteries and dangers await those who enter.

The largest map Vampire survivors has ever seen, full of dark secrets and a lot of evil bosses.

Over 30 new music tracks

A ridiculous amount of remixes from Castlevania Tracks from historic Vampire Survivors composers Daniele Zandara and Filippo Vicarelli, but also fan favorites Evelyn Lark and Keygen Church!

  • “Vampire Killer,” “Bloody Tears,” “Simon's Theme,” “Leon's Theme,” lots of themes.
  • “Moonlight Nocturne”, “Lost Paintings”, “Dance of Pearls”, but like you've never heard them before.
  • “Aquarius,” “The Beginning,” “Divine Bloodlines,” anything that screams “This is.” Castlevania.”
  • “An Empty Tome”, “Invitation of a Crazed Moon”, “Pitch Black Intrusion”, so many hits from the more recent entries in the series.
  • “Amber Scenery,” “Sarabande of Healing,” “Jaws of a Scorched Earth,” and many others whose titles you didn’t know!

In addition, we have borrowed several dozen original titles from Castlevania games. There is so much music that we have redesigned the music selection for the occasion.

And the icing on the cake: a man.

Vampire survivors is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC via Steam, iOS and Android.
