Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels tackles CB Jaycee Horn of the Carolina Panthers

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels tackles CB Jaycee Horn of the Carolina Panthers

The Washington Commanders face one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Carolina Panthers, in Week 7.

Even though the Panthers have allowed the most points and the fourth-most yards in the league all season, there are still some players who could cause problems for the Commanders' offense.

For rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, he knows how good Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn can be.

“Yes, a team that can fly around. (Carolina Panthers CB) Jaycee Horn is a good player, very physical and they like to have the ball in their hands,” Daniels said. “They are a good tackling team. There aren't many missed tackles that they miss. So when we go out, how do we break the leverage and get a few extra yards after the catch run? So it will be fun to be able to play against him this week.”

Horn, who turns 25 next month, has 27 tackles in six games this season, matching his total from last year after playing in as many games. He struggled with injuries for most of last year but is healthy now. He leads the Panthers' secondary, so he's certainly a player the Commanders should keep an eye on before the game.

Kickoff between the Panthers and Commanders is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
