If there's anyone who definitely knows his horror, it's director Jordan Peele. During a visit to “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” this week, the genre director took part in a blind review of some horror classics – including “Psycho,” “The Exorcist” and “Saw.”

The game, titled Blind Rank Horror Challenge, begins about two and a half minutes after Peele's interview. Fallon counted down the titles of six films that Peele had to rank, not knowing what the other options were.

Fallon went first with The Exorcist, which surprised Peele, who said he gave Fallon “very little leeway” before putting the film in second place.

The next option was “Psycho,” which pushed Peele into third place. “Saw,” which Peele said “is in a completely different league,” came in sixth place.

“The Shining” came in at number four and Peele noted that he enjoyed “nerding out” in front of the studio audience.

“Nightmare on Elm Street” won first place because Peele remembered being terrified of the film — and its poster — as a child. “The thing that scares me about Freddy is that he’s funny,” Peele said. “He was always cracking a joke and, you know, killing them with a pun.”

In fifth place was Peele's own 2017 psychological horror film Get Out.

The director refrained from revealing details about his upcoming fourth film, scheduled for release in 2026. “I will keep everyone in painful suspense. Trust me, it will pay off,” Peele promised.
