SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. (WKBN) – In this special college football game of the week, Slippery Rock University takes on Gannon University at home.

Slippery Rock took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter after quarterback Brayden Long connected with Mike Solomon on a 6-yard touchdown, capping an impressive 17-play, 99-yard scoring drive.

Gannon responded with a 17-play drive that ended in a Bryson Costa field goal, cutting Slippery Rock's lead to 7-3 in the 2nd quarter.

The Rock extended the lead on the ensuing drive, marching 73 yards in just 6 plays and scoring on Long's second touchdown pass of the day, this time hitting wide receiver Logan Ramper to make it 14-3.

In the 3rd quarter, Slippery Rock began to separate after Long used his legs to find the end zone to extend the lead to 21-3 with just over 10 minutes left in the quarter.
