You may be wondering what happens if you find the lost city of El Dorado, get blown up, two of your parents die, and find yourself stranded in South America with a sack of gold? Let John B (Chase Stokes) catch you in the first nine minutes Outer Banks Season 4, which you can watch above now!

Season 4 begins with the Pogues returning to the OBX and putting their resilient minds together to figure out how to best use their newfound gold. Or as Rudy Pankow (who plays JJ) previously said to Tudum: “What do you want now? When you finally get something, what do you want?”

It's not particularly surprising that the Pogues decide to relive their happiest times: on Poguelandia, of course! So the crew decides to build themselves Poguelandia 2.0, a new safe haven where they can live together and run a successful bait, fishing tackle and charter tour shop. P4L, right?!

The Season 3 finale ended with an 18-month time jump after the Pogues found the treasure, and the cast was just as eager to fill in the gaps as the fans. “That’s what I’m most excited about, finding out what’s in between,” Jonathan Daviss (who plays Pope) told Tudum last season.

So far, the series has only told us after the jump that Kiara (Madison Bailey) is saving sea turtles, Pope (Daviss) was planning on going to school, JJ (Pankow) bought a charter boat, and Sarah (Madison Cline worked with John B. in a surf shop, not to mention that a new character, Wes Genrette (David Jensen), has made them an offer that a Pogue would find hard to refuse: join the search for Blackbeard's treasure.

So why the jump at all? “We felt like we had to remove them from the school.” Outer Banks Co-creator Josh Pate previously told Tudum in a conversation explaining the ending of Season 3. He and co-creators Jonas Pate and Shannon Burke viewed the first three seasons as a trilogy, so Season 4 will feel like they're clearing the deck. “We will have new villains, a new treasure hunt, a new living situation,” he said.

Watch the first nine minutes above and get excited for the rest of season four, premiering with Part 1 on October 10th and Part 2 on November 7th. We're bringing it home, Pogues!

Rewatch seasons 1-3 Outer Banks now only on Netflix.
