Where is Lee Corso? ESPN's “College GameDay” analyst not on Week 7 show in Oregon

Lee Corso was not on set for ESPN's “College GameDay” from Eugene, Ore., on Saturday ahead of No. 2 Ohio State's visit to No. 3 Oregon.

“Lee Corso hopes to be back with us soon,” Rece Davis said during the broadcast. “I spoke to LC this week. He would like to send greetings to his very good friend, the duck. And the other one, Pat, must regret it when he sees that crowd around him.”

Davis announced the news on Friday.

“He won’t be here this week. He's doing better. “He’s been a little banged up the last few weeks,” Davis said, according to Ducks Wire. “I spoke to him earlier and he said he was sorry for missing his best friend the duck.”

Corso missed last week's broadcast from Berkeley, California, for his Week 6 visit and his first road trip to the home of the California Golden Bears.

Davis will be in his 10th season at the helm, joining “GameDay” analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban at the desk. College football insider Pete Thamel, college football betting analyst “Stanford Steve” Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims round out the “GameDay” cast.

The 89-year-old college football analyst also missed the Week 0 broadcast. No reason was given.
