ESPN's “College GameDay” returns to Eugene, Oregon for one of the biggest regular-season conference games this college football season: No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Oregon.

Host Rece Davis will join former Alabama football coach Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit live from Memorial Quad to preview the meeting of the Big Ten's top three teams, featuring two national championship programs compete against each other.

The show begins at 6 a.m. PT time on Saturday – for the second week in a row, the three-hour pregame show begins before the sun rises. The show will be held on Oregon's campus for the 12th time in show history, with the Ducks boasting an 18-12 all-time record on College GameDay.

One of the biggest questions for Saturday's edition of “College GameDay” revolves around one of the show's most sacred traditions: the selection of celebrity guests. The last time “GameDay” traveled to Eugene, former Oregon women’s basketball legend Sabrina Ionescu was there as a featured guest selector.

So who will be this week's guest picker on Saturday? Here's a look at some possible guests:

Week 7 “College GameDay” possible guest selection

In recent weeks, “GameDay” has announced its celebrity guest selections on the Thursday before the show. In the meantime, here is a list of some possible guest selection options for this week's College GameDay:

  • Sabrina Ionescu: She certainly seems to be the choice, as the former Oregon women's basketball star was the last guest player when GameDay 2022 took place in Oregon. However, Ionescu and the New York Liberty are still competing in the WNBA playoffs, so they are unlikely to be there.
  • Justin Herbert: Like Ionescu, the former Oregon football quarterback plays Sunday in Week 6 of the NFL season. In fact, he'll face former Ducks quarterback Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver.
  • Bo Nix: (See above).
  • Marcus Mariota: With Chip Kelly returning to Oregon for the first time as Ohio State's offensive coordinator, could that also be his former quarterback? The answer is (probably) no, as the Washington Commanders' backup quarterback has a game against the Ravens in Baltimore on Sunday.
  • Wyndham Clark: The former Oregon golfer helps Team USA win the Presidents Cup Trophy for the 10th consecutive year.
  • LeGarrette Blount: The three-time Super Bowl running back spent two seasons at Oregon from 2008-09. In those two years, Blount totaled 1,084 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns.
  • Joey Harrington: The former Oregon quarterback is still beloved in Eugene, 23 years after his last game for the Ducks.
  • Cole stool: If ESPN and “GameDay” want to capitalize on the recent 2024 Paris Olympics, Hocker would be the way to go. The Oregon track and field alumnus posted one of the best finishes at the Paris Olympics when he came from behind to win the gold medal in the 1,500-meter run for Team USA.
  • Ty Burrell: Although the Modern Family actor graduated from Southern Oregon University, he is a native of the Beaver State. Last year, he appeared as a guest on “College GameDay” when Oregon took on Utah in Salt Lake City. He recently voiced a commercial for the Oregon Big Ten when the Ducks were in the conference.
  • Phil Knight: There's no need to explain the connection between Knight and Oregon. The Nike co-founder and Oregon graduate would be a safe choice for “GameDay.”
  • Ben Affleck: When you think of Phil Knight, you might also think of the actor who portrayed him in “Air” – the 2023 film about how Nike landed Michael Jordan and his basketball division, including the brand Air Jordan, cranked up – alongside Matt Damon.
  • Sam Elliott: The legendary American actor is an Oregon graduate.
  • Kaitlin Olson: The It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actress received her bachelor's degree in theater from Oregon College of Arts and Sciences in 1997. She also stars in the new ABC TV show “High Potential.” Disney is the parent company of ESPN and ABC.
