After police found a dismembered body and arrested Torilena May Fields in Robertson County on Thursday, a uniform subpoena provided disturbing details about the investigation.

According to the citation, police were called to Brierly Ridge Road on Wednesday afternoon after the caller reportedly went to the residence to “work on a building” for the owner and found a dismembered body behind the residence.

Upon arrival, police found a dismembered body lying on the grass, along with blood on the back porch and near the back door. In addition, drag marks were found in the grass from the apartment to the body, the summons states.

Police executed a search warrant and entered the apartment, only to find Fields there. The citation detailed that after multiple attempts to remove Fields from the home, CS gas was deployed and Fields was then removed from the home.

Upon further investigation, police discovered that the arms, legs and head had been removed from the body, while the torso and head had reportedly been split in half and the organs removed, the citation said. A bloody mattress was found folded next to the body, and when police unfolded it, “multiple body parts and organs were found,” the citation states.

Human remains were also found in the kitchen and it was said that a pot was found in the oven. When police removed the pot, human remains were found inside “that appeared to have been cooked in the oven,” the statement said.

Fields was accused of:

  • Obstruction of government operations
  • Tampering with physical evidence
